Recorded with a zoomh5 stock xy microphone pointed down at my feet. This version used a 16db noise reduction. This is my first upload and attempt at getting gravel footsteps. I'll rerecord soon.

A unique sound i recorded in bangkok whilst standing on a floating pier waiting for a boat. The pier is made of metal and the sound produced is the empty steel pier rubbing against the pylons with each wave of the river. You can also hear a boat motor as a ferry pulls up to the pier. I recorded this sound on a beach in normandy. It is a close recording of waves crashing on the sand. You can hear the different sounds produced by the water, and the ambiant atmosphere of an oceanside. After recording this sound, i improved it on audacity. I reduced the noice and the wind, then i add a fade in and fade out to make it smoother. This sound is very relaxing and satisfying.

Spring. Wav and spring2. Wav were recorded on the same evening in may during a long rain. The two recordings are similar but still very different. I've never heard so many frogs/peepers so deafeningly loud, persistent and oblivious to humans. I tried to record where the water was running but the animals drowned out the sound of the water. After many years of 'lurking' on this website and downloading and using sounds for my projects, i am happy to hopefully contribute something useful to this site. I am not a professional audio tech or anything related, but i do own a zoom h5 recorder and had to make some recordings for one of my multimedia projects. This recording was made at the harbour of scheveningen, the netherlands on february 7th around 22. 00 pm.

It is a recording made with the following instrument´s: 1. Glass cup and spoon; 2. A steren brand microphone, steren amateur model, was used; 3. The recording was done using the pure data adc code, and the necessary code to make a sampler with [tabwrite ~]; 4. The recording was made with the audio interface provided by roland tb-03 monophonic synthesizer and with the arduor 5 digital audio station; the processing instruments used to perform equalization, mixing and mastering, the so-called “eq arduor team” and “compressor arduor team” virtual instruments.

Fascinating to contemplate how, while us humans are sleeping soundly, preparing for our next day, nature, is performing this nightly chorus, under cover of darkness. Gentle, drowsy insects gently rocking the world. Washing over the world with the re-birth that night brings.
