Using a finger and a small blackroll tube, i recorded a few plopps with a rode nt-usb mini and the rode podcast recording software. Noise gate and compression were turned on at the time of recordings. For me, it sounds a little bit like a cork popping from a bottle, but it has a richer sound, somewhat overdoing it. . . Good for sfx though.

If i try to run past this dog's protected yard, he'll come right out onto the road and attack. I've had to mace him twice already. If i walk past and display my mace, he'll let me pass, but he always does this. I'd rather mace the owner, but i can't get him to come out on the road. . .

More rain and distant thunder recorded from an open window. I recorded it with an optimus tape deck and an old microphone (the tape i recorded it on was a maxell ur), i then used audacity and the same tape deck to convert it to digital. A semi-rare and priceless recording (at least to me) of a whippoorwill; a bird who, unfortunately, is declining in many areas of the country. This recording contains more hiss than many of my existing nature recordings, but i still want to post it so you can get sample of this wonderful signature sound of summer woods at dusk. Recording made in the shawnee national forest in late may of 2010 using my zoom h4n recorder. I used an audio technica at8035. I was trying out this microphone. This particular microphone does have a narrow acceptance angle, which is probably 1 reason for the hissiness. Still, go out in the summer woods around dusk sometime and maybe you will get lucky and hear this beautiful little bird whose distinctive calls have livened up the woods for generations of many youngsters – including me!.

A guitar through defective self-modulating delay. The time potentiometer went "bad" after years of hard twisting and abuse, and now it warbles and pitch-shifts on it's own. It's very temperamental, though. The pedal is a johnson "ead-2 analog echo delay". May be useful for an outro or something! let me know if you use it, i'd love to hear the results!.

The sound is a mic going to a boss me-30 on pitch shifter setting, to various other effects, and then to a boss dd-20 in sound on sound mode, then to an alesis nanoverb. All the sounds are my voice being effected/looped by the pedals. The beginning part is a cough with another vocal sound layered which sounds similar to a violin. . . Recorded direct to sound card.

The sound of me banging on a metal folding chair after i reversed it and added reverb to it. I also made another layer of the same sound un-reversed underneath it so it would not be too abrupt. Ah, the things you can do with an ordinairy metal folding chair! made with audacity and an ordinairy metal folding chair.

This is me reading a list of numbers to type in to create a sonic effect on my computer. (think -514. 0001. ) i first reversed it and added reverb to it and reversed it again. Then i duplicated it two times and changed the pitch of the duplicates by five semitones up and down. Enjoy, and above all, don't be creeped out! made with audacity.

Recording of a building construction site with high winds; contains equipment drones, backup beeps, some backhoe noises, and occasional high wind with whistling. Recorded on an amazon basics usb condenser mic in stereo mode, and normalized to max volume before upload. This was originally me trying to record the wind sound, but there's really too much construction noise, so let's not waste it! :).

I have no idea what this was. I don't know if it's my voice or an external sound i didn't hear while recording. It was found randomly on my most recent recording of playing containment breach, and it was very quiet, so i increased the volume to try and figure out what it was, but it's still a mystery to me. Sooooooooooooo. . . . Here ya go!.

I made this using audacity to reform and change the frequencies for a few sounds i recorded at my desk which were made with a lighter, imitating the sound of a water drop with my voice, a rotating object hitting different things (cans, lighter, wooden desk, etc. , my creaky chair, me imitating a fly with my voice and finally, tapping on an empty can.
