This is the source recording for my first sound made for my "a sound design everyday" project. Every day i will record a sound and then create designs, collages, and lil' music tidbits using the source recording and only the source recording. For this sound, i flipped my bike upside down and used various objects to press against the spinning tires. You can hear the full sound design piece at soundcloud:. Http://soundcloud. Com/standingwave/everyday_050113. Or explore this pack to hear a sampling of the sounds generated from this source.

Water rolling down a creek, over rocks and around a fallen tree, in stereo, with the water sounds moving from one ear to the other ear. We got in the van and drove down a rural road in arkansas, united states. On the side of that road, we found whittington creek. We continued and found where this creek enters a man-made underground tunnel in the city of hot springs. This sound is used in the beginning of a 7-minute video of our adventure:http://elingreso. Regular game sounds 1. -------------------------------------------------------------. You may use these sounds freely ifyou think they're usefull. I made them in nanostudio with the eden's synthsmostly one instrument (the eden) multiple notes some effect(hall i believe) sometimes and here and then multiintstruments. (they are very easy to make in nanostudio (=freeware!))i edited the mixdown afterwards with oceanaudio,to seperate the wav's from the output mixdown, andused a normalise effect for maximum db. If you want to use them for any production or whateverthats ok, they are public domain. 47. Wav sounds. Bye. -------------------------------------------------------------. 20-02-2014lu6np9@kpnmail. Sound made by a small electric motor cranking and reversing a lever (on an infant's glider/sleeper). This is one repeat of the sound taken from a larger sound i've provided in this archive (which has repeated takes). If you pitch-shift this down about six steps and add a metal/plate/hall reverberation effect, it sounds remarkably like a sound you hear in the carbonite chamber scene in the empire strikes back :). This was recorded with a sony icd-st voice recorder held next to the glider, then noise removed with an audio tool, then normalized. I request but don't demand credit to me (richard alexander hall) for any use of this sound.

This is a sound of mine that i made, it's a washing machine on a fast spin, it sounds rather like an old british style diesel train at speed. I used my canon power shot a460 camera video to film the washing machine in action and simply took the sound from the video. Please note, anybody is free to use this sound, you don't have to credit me, but it would be fun to hear how you use my sound if possible. :) here is the link to the type of licence i use. Amateur guitar plucking of a tune of my own making, mainly on one string up and down the fret board. Recorded august or september 1984 when i was 15/16. Cassette is a basf cr2-90 (1 of 3). Recorded on my fidelity hi-fi tower, with microphones jacked in. The extra guitar strums near the end were actually unrelated, a technical glitch made an impression of the previous recording to bleed through. Audio has been uploaded using alesis usb tape deck link to audacity, no editing or noise removal was utilised.

This is a quick minecraft note block loop (drums only) that i made in multitrack daw mobile (i don't know how i did it in that app, it's so hard to use) with original sounds from the game. And in case you want to know it's 105 bpm. I'll work on more note block tracks soon. Also sorry it's not a perfect loop you will have to take off some space on the end of the clip for it to be perfectly continuous. The app is very hard to use so i couldn't cut it just right.

I did some swishes myself using a spiral hose; i needed them for specific situations in video editing and the bamboo swishes i found here on freesound were too fast and strong. The flexible spiral hose made for some nice and slower swishes; some of the 16 sounds build up a little, some are very fast and strong, some soft and gentle. A whole pack for you to use. Recorded with a tascam dr-05 stereo (the movement always went from left to right); a little noise reduction in audacity.

To create this sound i recorded myself opening a can of coke in my bedroom. To record, i used my aston spirit microphone on cardioid polar pattern and my focusrite scarlett 18i20 second generation (2nd gen) interface running pro tools from my mac at 48khz, 24 bit. I also used a reflection filter to lower rt60 so this sound has minimal reverb to tape. The cable i used was made of canford hst cable and has neutrik xlr connectors.

Collection of different human voices introducing original nitrate optical sound effects made for hollywood in the 1930s and 40s as digitized by craig smith. Sound effects extracted, these are mostly only the intro voices except for some small overlaps or tails. Sometimes it cuts off or on in the middle of a word but that's just what was available in the optical soundtracks. I plan to use these for a film but thought it might be fun for others to play with. Splice markers added in reaper, optimized for the make noise morphagene tape and microsound synthesizer, just rename the file to mg1 etc. , morphagene’s file-naming convention (but of course you don’t at all need the morphagene to use these).

Oh! How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning, a song by Irving Berlin produced on U.S. Army time for the Army benefit show, Yip Yip Yaphank (1918). I believe the version used in the show used the opening verse from the Irving Kaufman recording; the opening verse here was probably made for publication. This is Edison Blue Amberol #3639, which was created using Edison Diamond Disc matrix #6287.

The fundamentals of this patch is from the doepfer home pagehttp://www. Doepfer. De/a100_man/a100_patch. Htmthe patch they call "random melody". I call the sound "random melody from doepfer site". Boring. . . I added a voice with some delay/reverb fx and some simple drums. The high-hat is made from white noise and the bass drum isa self oscillating filter. I have used a minor scale on my doepfer a-157 quantizer. This sound is slitly treated in audacity. A little compressor and limiter. Review from one of my kids: "well, there is some rhythm".

This is the sound made by the needle crossing the linen cloth during my wife's embroidery sessions. The fabric is under extreme tension in a special wooden frame, it's like a tambourine skin. So when she stitches, the needle goes through the fabric (linen) and therefrom comes the main noise (like a door w/o grease). A second noise is a kind of dry "pop". It's when the thread finishes to run across the fabric, a tiny loop is stuck and the relased, making the fabric jump like a drum skin once again. Sound taken the 15th of march 2021, in brittany, france, using a xiao redmi smartphone.

Field-recording of the creek found in old ellicot city, md. The creek is located in a suburban town, and is surrounded by a man-made rock moat about a story below street level. Recorded using a sony pcm-m10 at 24bit, 96k. The sound has been gently processed!!- hpf (6db slope) to remove rumble- compressor (ni supercharger gtx) with a minimal 1db gain reduction in m/s mode and a bit of warmth added. - ozone 5 for a little m/s eq to alleviate some of the watery pops on the sides and a little stereo widening to compensate for the pcm-m10's built in omni mics.

A quick slide sound ending in a tap. Sounds like a chess piece being played on a wooden board. Slight variant #2 ~ sound equalized and slightly amplified. This was recorded using the application recording studio pro. It was made for sound effects by the sister company, beyond the mind design™ and was created for a commissioned short animation. It was produced using a metal ruler and my voice. In this version: the sound has been slightly amplified and overall tone has been equalized, giving a more refined sound effect and higher overall volume. Can be used for many different effects, not just dragging or sliding. Use it how you wish! thank you!.

Autumn is a time for slowing down and allowing yourself time for reflection and contemplation. The accomplishments and mistakes from the previous year. Especially if you make it a habit of getting out all year long and exploring nature, autumn can be a much-needed change in sensory soundscape. . . . After a busy spring listening to the many different warblers which come to visit and a busy summer immersed in the busy sounds of life----both human and natural----autumn's subtle, quiet muted soundscape can be almost like a re-birth for the ears and the soul. The insects, which had taken over center stage since august, are still singing---though now with a quieter volume and a more even sleep and though-inducing tempo. . . . . . . . Brisk winds from the north can be heard more clearly now----swishing, rustling the weedy, tan edges of fields. . . . . Hinting at the bite of much colder masses of canadian air waiting on deck for their turn in the months of november, december and january. . . I made this recording on the evening of october 4th 2014 at the edge of a field which was bordered by thick stands of oaks and pines of a major national forest. . . . . I couldn't help but pretend i was linus waiting in the pumpkin patch for the great pumpkin to arrive!. Recording made with my marantz pmd661 and a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone on a tripod about 3 feet above the ground. My input volume was 6. I hope you enjoy this soundscape as much as i do.

Blogspot. Listening to nightingales & other sleepy birds in the evening. . . You can hear my baby rook taki squak at the very end, cause he was getting restless & wanted to go home to sleep for the night. You can hear nightingales, warblers and thrushes all around. This was recorded using my crappy, old mp3 player in the countryside of henfield, near brighton, england, on the 31st of may 2010. I often play it & other recordings i made around there for my birds in the evening, as a kind of nature lullaby. ^-^.

Completely made in sony sound forge 10 with the fm tools. Starts off with a sine 6,000 hz to ~12,000 hz in about three seconds to emulate a camera flash warming up. For those who intend to use it as a part of a futuristic weapon in games, flashes, or movies, i also added a double beep as a "weapon ready" cue and final tone at the for an optional "locked on" which could also double as an error beep.

A twisted sound of screeching metal and various slam sounds. Made from. . . Well you know from my previous uploads. This sample inspired by twisted metal black a car combat game which had a combination of grungy, dirty and suspensful sound designs of which compliment the downtrodden style are some of my styles of foley considering the genre of "industrial" of technology, metal, machinery and transhumanism. Applications could be used in very run down areas as a cue sound, foley/ambiance for when a person is to be trapped and face danger and/or simply a jumpscare.

A tuned chau gong from my personal collection. I made these samples long ago and only did one take per gong. So, these sounds are a bit rough, but that should do well to suit the kinds of music that would use these gongs. I have tried loading single samples from this set (especially #4) across an entire keyboard, and playing that one sample as if it were the whole set, and that has worked out well. So, if one of the gongs crashes too much or decays too quickly for your liking, it should be trivial to replace that sound with another, pitch-shifted one.
