My contribution to the freesouond collaborative performance of gyorgi ligeti's "poème symphonique for 100 metronomes". The metronome is marked "wittner" and "made in w. Germany". It ran for a little over 13 minutes at about 140. 7 bpm. Recorded on the hardwood floor of my bedroom, with the mic in front about 30 cm away. Equipment used: oktava mk102 mic, art digital mpa preamp, m-audio audiophile card. This sample is completely unprocessed. It looks limited or clipped, but i can't hear it - must be from the tube preamp (i had the gain cranked way up). It's pretty quiet, but if you listen carefully you may hear some noises in the background, especially near the beginning where i leave the room.

A nearby moo. Taken from a field recording (quite literally) i made of the cows mooing in the field next to our house in pembrokeshire, wales. Recorded tuesday 14 april 2020 (while in lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic) on a zoom q2n. Note, incidentally, that "zoom" spelt backwards is "mooz". Spooky, eh?. I hope that someone out there finds these moos to be just the thing they need. I recorded them for my own music project about ufos, but figured someone else might need a moo or two too! if you use these, please let us know in the comments. It's not compulsory, but it would be fun to find out.

I made some chords and tones on acoustic guitar which i recorded in garageband for something called victors crypt. I added a choir in the back and more sounds and instruments to get a more spooky atmosphere. Should suit fine to anything creepy. Feel free to use it as long as you give me the credit for it/write me as composer. And subscribe to and watch my channel :). Be cool and subscribe to victors crypt on youtube. Https://www. Youtube. Https://twitter. Com/klj54282021/status/1633974045862404097?s=20. Laughter. I guess. Check it. Turn the sound on. Typically low-quality because it has to be. It's worth it. I've never seen anyone really lose it like this before, particularly, this guy. An hour or so later he's settled down, but still has occasional outbursts. He says joe biden could never play bongos like that to save his life, much less sing. Donald trump is actually a much better dancer. I think if they had the fortitude to actually do this, they could feed the world's hungry with the profits. I don't see how they could pull it off.

I was sitting in my car in the city centre of glasgow scotland waiting for a member of my family, so to pass the time i got out my little canon powershot a460 digital camera, wound down my window and recorded the sound of the heavy traffic driving past my car. This sound of mine is for anybody to use, no credit needed, but it would be fun if you can let me hear how you used the sound, if possible, that would be fun. Here is a link to the type of licence i use. Http://creativecommons. Org/publicdomain/zero/1. 0/.

I made this melody on violin in grageband for something called victors crypt. I added some more music in the background in the end but it's based on this tones on violin that i think would be great for something scary, haunting and evil. It's a recording of over 100 people watching a football match (poland-greece @ uefa euro 2012). Recorded in a medium-sized hall. You can hear the sport live commentary broadcasted from television, people expressing their emotions with their voices. Clapping their hands, cheering their team (poland) and generally making a lot of interesting noises as they watch the game. Recorded with zoom h2 in 2-channel surround mode. Originally 24-bit wav, normalized and converted to 24-bit flac with audacity. I have reduced the mic gain at 0:56 to ensure i will not have a clipped recording. I didn't edit the result to let you cut-out whatever you may need.

A scary music bit i made in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. I added a lot of room, reverb and echo to make this as eerie as possible. It's basically based on a melody with a lot of room. Then i added small background noises for extra dark pleasure. Feel free to use it as long as you give me the credit for it/write me as composer. And subscribe to and watch my channel :). Music i made in garageband for something called victors crypt. The original idea was this melody i made on acoustic guitar. Then i addded strings to make it more spooky and a bass-note along with a piano-chord to make it sound more powerful. Hope you like it. Snippets from recordings of me playing the tanpura. The strings are tuned to b, d, g and e, so would work well in the keys of g or e minor. I noticed that my first pack of tanpura samples has a bit of fuzzy white noise so in this pack i have equalized - i reduced all the very high frequencies which got rid of most of the white noise without affecting the low frequency sounds of the tanpura itself. Please note this is the tanpura part of an instrument called the swar sangam which combines the swarmandal (indian harp) and the tanpura, it is not a traditional tanpura and does sound slightly different.

A man and a woman having sex with lots of moans and squeaky bed noises. About: i told a couple that i'm friends with about freesound and they got real excited (pun intended). I gave them my handy recorder h2 and they did their thing. I edited the recording a bit in audacity. They are cool with this recording being put on freesound. Org and also that it's cc0 as long as it's anonymous. Have fun and if you get the chance to share intimate sounds yourself: don't be shy and just do it (but ask first)!.

Exciting music i made in garageband for something called victors crypt!. I came up with the staccato-strings first and developed the music from there. Added a string-melody and later on a minor melody on french horn. Hammered two chords on piano in the back. Got a mysterious detective feel to it i think. So i named the tune "detective hawkeye". Could be useful in anything dark, eerie, spooky, creepy, scary, horrific, mysterious, crime-ish, thrilling or whatever comes to mind. Feel free to use it as long as you give me the credit for it/write me as composer. And subscribe to and watch my channel :). Be cool, watch and subscribe to victors crypt:https://www. Youtube. Casio mt-36 drum hits. A bit quietly and noisily recorded, but my soundcard can't do much better. Amazing analogue(?, some sounds sound like semi-digital) drum hits, sound kinda like sega genesis noises coupled with a roland 808 charm. I think you may find something worth preserving here - i think at least they're very worth preserving.

This sound was created from an image of 16 bits / channel grayscale. You can see the image on the following link https://goo. Gl/j5cuhp. The image has been exported to raw format and then was imported into audacity where i applied effects and plugins. The effects and plugins that i use for these sounds called "image sonification" are: eq, paulstretch, reverb among others.

This was recorded as part of my coverage of the riots, which i later allowed the bbc to use on their news programme. I recorded my voice while playing freelance horror games; scp-087-b and slender sanatorium. This was so i could get genuine reactions to use as stock voice clips for future use. Some pretty interesting stuff came out. Also, i've tried asking what the rule is on this site about vulgarity, but no one has given me a straight answer. . . So yeah. . .

A plastic bag, paper wrapper and other materials were recorded individually being rubbed. I then layered them in audacity to be played over each other. From the resulting layered sound i generated this 10 second loop. Sounds like a mellow rain upon the ground or a slow crackling fire. Recorded using a blue yeti microphone at 16-bit 44100hz in audacity. Attribution appreciated but not required.

This is an under water recording of some bubbles. I filled up a laundry bin with water, stuck a sennheisser md21 (dynamic omnimic) wrapped in a plastic bag in there (under the water level). I pumped bubbles from the bottom of the bin through a bicycle pump. Gear used: md21 -> m-audio dmp3 -> terratec ewx2496. Completely unprocessed, 2:43 of 24 bit 44khz wave. Submission for the earthfirewindwater contest.

7:25 p. M. School yard. Kids while playing basket ball and other games. Many voices of dozens of children and sounds of the balls and the game. Hear the vehicles passing on the street. At the final section of the recording is heard the sound of an airplane flying across the sky. I used the zoom handy recorder h2 with internal microphones. I made some corrections in adobe audition 3. 0. Enjoy!.

Removed the hum from cognito-perceptu's pill-bottle-4 sample. Original sample had truck in background in addition to some low frequency hum. Used the remove hum feature on izotope rx2 and, presto-chango, no distracting background noise. Now there is still a high frequency hum which i did not touch. I think this could be mitigated with a low pass filter in eq if you choose.

Raw audio of me typing on my old perkins brailler, this time with a sheet of paper in it. I believe something was wobbling around the desk and i couldn't get rid of that noise with audacity, however it isn't all that unnatural for an object to be vibrating or wobbling when someone is typing on a heavy brailler like this. Recorded with a zoom h1n.

First attempt at recording with audacity and my new keyboard. All sounds are bone-stock from the mx49. I've only added a little reverb in one 15-second section of the piece. I didn't intend to do anything in particular, just checking out sounds on the keys and getting familiar with audacity. I think of it as a 21st century version of the beatles "revolution 9". If you haven't listened to that, you need to.

The recording was made in the town of kirkcaldy, scotland, next to a street on a seaside promenade. Street noises can be heard on the recording. I used superlux headphones, recording recorded on a sandisk ultra 32gb sd card. Enjoy. Regards:).

Just a few hand claps i layered, compressed, and added a touch of reverb. I use this sample in my own songs all the time. Just a nice layer to put under the backbeat, not a crazy, huge clap to use on its own. I'd love if you'd credit joshua scott or rjc studios if you use this sample, but don't sweat it if you don't. Good artists borrow, great artists steal.

Phased multistricken crash. Based on https://freesound. Org/people/dieselsiselmedia/sounds/387139/. But at 44,100 hz and phased by applying right channel delay. I don't like this version. It doesn't have enough bass. I created it because some nationalist who doesn't recognize the unique identity and sentience of individuals couldn't resample it in standard hz properties.

This is a background hiss my cheap microphone records when i use my laptop. I recorded with audacity. This one has spikes of static noise every so often, sounding almost like faint voices. It's creepy in my opinion. It can also sound like water or a waterfall running in the background, or a beeping futuristic computer in a spaceship.

This is actually an odd sound my thermos makes when i don't close the lid properly. I guess it could be used for all sorts of abstract things, like ants talking to each other, alien sounds, organic things in general. It's just air going through a thin space. I needed the sound of a plastic recycle bin being rolled out to the curb. I set my zoom h1n on the sidewalk at the end of my driveway and - in two trips - rolled the cans out to the curb. You will hear me walking to the cans in the right channel, the garbage bin is rolled from the right channel to the center-left. Then repeat for the recycle bin.

Simple, sad chords with an ambient drum pattern accompanying. I created this with logic pro x and a basic soft synth that come with the software. The drums have some effects from fabfilter's "timeless" plugin, and also some distortion, but nothing too fancy. A grey squirrel at the edge of a wood seemed quite upset and repeated called for about 5 minutes. I recorded the end of its calling. It is also my first attempt at recording sound with my camera (canon eos 550d). There turned out to be a fan noise with a slight clicking. I ran noise reduction in audacity to remove it and to help reduce the sound of traffic.

The apple plaintalk microphone jack used on some older macintosh systems is designed to accept an extended 3. 5 mm three-conductor phone connector; in this case, the tip carries power for a preamplifier inside the microphone. The sound a rather fast repeating beat i made using an apple plaintalk microphone in a rather modern windows laptop using audacity. I messed around with the jack, and took out all the silent parts.
